Урок английского языка на тему: «Whoissuccessfulperson

Цель урока: Формировать умение составлять сообщения об успешных людях, совершенствование навыков чтения.

Задачи:

практические - активизировать знания, умения и навыки учащихся по теме; развивать умение работать с текстом, учить логически строить высказывание на основе прочитанной и переработанной информации;

развивающие – развивать кругозор учащихся, развивать способности к распределению внимания, к догадке, к анализу и синтезу; стимулировать навык критического мышления и самостоятельного осмысления полученной информации;

воспитательные – создавать возможность для проявления индивидуальных способностей учащихся; воспитание потребности в получении знаний о мировой культуре и истории. Повысить мотивацию учащихся к изучению английского языка, оптимизируя процесс обучения с помощью использования элементов технологии развития критического мышления.

образовательные – познакомить с некоторыми фактами из жизни знаменитых людей.

Оборудование и раздаточные материалы – проектор, мультимедийная доска, презентация PowerPoint, карточки со словами

 Ход урока:

  1. 1.     Организационный момент (Слайд 1)

- Good afternoon boys and girls! Let` greet your face partners and do Double  Thums. Now with your shoulder partners, do Pump up. Now do Rally Robin ask : -How are you today? And answer to each other.Students A begin, please.

2.Фонетическаяразминка.(Слайд 2)

But first we will correct your pronunciation. Open your books at 95 in ex.8.there is a list of words having stresses on different syllables. Listen to the words and read them after the announcer. Thenreadthewordsyourselves.

- Ex. 8 p. 95 (дети слушают кассету и повторяют за диктором)

3.Развитиенавыковустнойречи.(Слайд 3)

Today we`ll continue speaking about successful person. Now, look at the screen and you can see famous people. I`d like you to know what are they famous for? You task is to discus with your partners about them.You should do it using the structure Continuous Round Robin. Tell what are these people famous for? (books, poems, plays,etc)

Yuri Gagarin is famous for being the first to fly into space.

AllaPugacheva is famous for singing.

Walt Disney is famous for being a film producer.

- I think, to be successful or to become successful, we must do something, we must have  some traits of character. Whydidtheybecomesuccessful? ( Почему они стали известными?Что мы должны делать для этого?)

We will do the structure – PLACEMAT CONSENSUS and answer the question:

In the middle of the square write down  - Who is a successful person for you?

Кто такой успешный человек для вас?

Think 10 seconds. Now write your answers during 1 minutes in your boxes. Your time is up! Now do CONTINIUS ROUND ROBIN! Read all your sentences one by one, if you like the statement, student #1 write down the statement in the middle of square.

— Now table #1 and 2 students #3- read the statements.

- Thank you! GOOD JOB!

A successful person is a person who has:

– much money

– a lot of friends

– an interesting job

– a friendly family

– sense of humour

– a dream

-work hard every day

- a highly paid job

-a good  salary

 

Let’s suppose that a person will become successful if he or she possesses certain traits of character. During 2 minutes I’d like you to remember as many qualities as you can that will help a person become successful. What qualities must a successful person have?What traits can you name?Какимдолженбытьуспешныйчеловек?

A successful person should be:(Слайд 13)

– industrious

– intelligent

– creative

– independent

– sociable

– curious

 You should do it using the structure Stir the class.

Your task is to write down the list of words which characterize a successful person.(2 min)

Now draw the line. Stand up, mix with your classmates, find a partner, read your list of words to your partner. At that time your partner will write down the words he does not have. If he has those  words he will tick them in his list. Then change your roles. I give you 2 minutes to complete your list.

Sit down. Now the pupil №1 will read his list of words.

- Now you will read some statements and you must agree or disagree with it.

1)  A successful person is a person who lives separately from his family.

2) A successful person is a person who succeeds by his own efforts.

3) A successful person is a person  who doesn’t have friends and doesn’t rely on other people

5) A successful person is a person   who thinks of himself more than about other people.

4. Развитие навыков чтения с извлечением информации.(Слайд 15)

- We have already read the texts about Walt Disney and Mother Teresa. Do you remember them? They were very famous people. We will talk about them. Open your book on page number 96, exercise 11. Look through the text about Walt Disney and Mother Teresa  then find the answers to the questions:

-Who is Walt Disney? 

-What his cartoon characters do you know? 

-What did he do a lot in his childhood?

-How did he become the owner of a small studio?

-Does his studio produce films nowadays?

-When was Mother Teresa born?

-What did she do in 1928?

-When did she get Noble Prize?
